My boss still starts Zoom meetings asking us all to share how we’re faring. I don’t want my whole team to know about my bowels, thank you.

We have to memorize inane acronyms for certain situations like SPARKLE (S-Set Expectations,” P-Praise Good Behavior,”etc. It's crazy!

Before it was rude to interrupt in a meeting, but on Zoom calls, interrupting is sometimes necessary to get yourself heard!

Document specific actions and how they made you feel. Suggest things they can do to help you. Work together to come up with an action plan.

1. Do a lot of pre-work. 2. Have a shared goal of finishing in 40 minutes. 3. Allow at least some schmooze time at the start.
